    Dr. William Hynes (BSc MRUP MSc MSc (Econ) PhD MRICS MSCSI MRTPI MIPI MCILT) is a Chartered Town Planner and a Chartered Surveyor, and urban economist, and a founder and director of Future Analytics Consulting Ltd, a leading planning and research consultancy based at 23 Fitzwilliam Square (South), Dublin 2.

    William has extensive experience providing expert advice to public and private sector clients in the following areas: strategic spatial planning including at national, regional, county and local levels, demography, housing and economic analysis and forecasting that is fully integrated with spatial planning, health planning, retail impact assessment and infrastructure planning (roads, rail, services, etc.), and is currently providing social and socio-economic expertise across a range of economic development and regeneration projects. William, who is a member of the Central Statistics Office (CSO) Expert Group on national and regional population projections, is a former chairperson of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Irish Branch Southern Section.

    William is also a visiting lecturer at University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology lecturing in the areas of land use and transportation planning, strategic spatial planning, infrastructure planning, demographic analysis, research methods and GIS.

    Presentation Synopsis:

    The need to ensure that effective and evidence-based investment decisions are undertaken is critical. The volume of numerous but disparate data available to decision makers today is substantial, however, the ease with which this data can be interpreted and acted upon has not improved correspondingly. In this presentation, Dr. William Hynes will explore, illustrating a number of projects undertaking by Future Analytics Consulting, cutting edge insights and innovation in order to create decision support mechanisms for a variety of sectors, where access to and application of information can assist in more informed investment decisions being made.
