    Stephanie’s background is in geographic information systems, mapping, climate change and the built environment. Following the completion of an MSc in Climate Change she went on to complete a PhD at Maynooth University investigating the urban climate of Dublin where she combined high resolution data from climate and air quality sensors with spatial datasets to investigate the urban climate effect across Dublin. Since then Stephanie became operational lead of Dublin’s open data network, Dublinked. In this role she worked with a range of partners, including Start-ups, MNCs and Local Authorities to better utilise and engage with open data for the Dublin region. She currently coordinates business development opportunities for iGeotec.
    iGeotec specialises in developing data solutions and cloud-based data platforms for engineers and decisions makers working on infrastructural projects. The iGeotec team are based in the business incubation centre in Maynooth University.

    Smart Data Capture and Management for the Construction Sector

    Synopsis
    Stephanie will explore smart data capture and management options for use in the construction sector, for example smart phones, drones and cloud-based platforms. The presentation will also feature a case study on Transport Infrastructure Ireland and on how they employed solutions developed by iGeotec to comply with an EU Directive and monitor their road network.
